Printer Maintenance

All of the printers we offer here at 3D Printers Canada are easy to maintain and continue successful use. A 15-minute cleaning at the end of each print is essential to eliminate build up and ensure that the next print will be accurate.

What to clean, and how to do it.

After each print, the print tray has to be scraped clear of any residual material. Any collateral material printed during the additive manufacturing process will remain on the tray. Not to worry though - because the resin is cured immediately after it is layered, it is hard and comes off the print tray surface with very little force. A soft cloth and rubbing alcohol (isopropyl) spray is all that is needed. Once cleaned, all the resin can be disposed of in the garbage – there are no toxic or biohazardous materials produced, unlike other 3D printing methods.

Once the print tray is clean, using rubbing alcohol and a soft cloth again, a simple yet thorough rub of the PolyJet printer heads is essential to maintain an accurate, unhampered print next time. The print nozzles are durable and easy to clean, making the process a simple, short one.

If at any time you have any questions regarding any of the printer cleaning procedures, our experts are standing by for you. We will use our machine in real time/concurrence with you to make sure we can relate to any problem you may encounter.

Troubleshooting

If your printer is not functioning as you expect it to, do not panic. Once again, our experts here at 3D Printers Canada are happy to help you. Our experts have extensive training with all the machines we offer and with several of them in house, they can real-time trouble shoot right next to you.

The latest technology in all of our printers is easy to use, maintain and trouble shoot, making your 3D printing experience an effortless, enjoyable one. Even though 3D printers use the latest technology available, they are incredibly simple to use and even easier to maintain. There is minimal training required to operate Objet’s 3D printing machinery and technology. Our in house experts here at 3D Printers Canada will guide you through all aspects of your print: from training to troubleshooting (both of which are easy and straight forward and can be conducted in-person, via email or over the phone), all areas of concern will be answered. To maintain and clean the machine after each use, there is no need for specialist skills or computing knowledge required – a simple wipe down of the print jet nozzles and print tray with a delicate rag and isopropyl (rubbing alcohol) will prevent future complications and maintain top performance.
